Kittawat, Ash and Kamol celebrate GSR Go Live event in Thailand


Hard work, perseverance and commitment were the words that resounded at the GSR Thailand go-live event last week. The go-live celebration was a culmination of six months of Amway Thailand’s commitment, with the support of Global Shop Replenishment (GSR) Corporate project team and Business Systems Implementation (BSI) team.


“We started off with the GSR Thailand kick-off session in January and during this session, we reviewed the current as-is processes versus the new to-be processes to identify the upcoming changes and challenges. Throughout this process, the market team led by Khun Kamol (Thailand Supply Chain Director) worked with us to ensure a smooth transition,” said BSI Director, Atsushi ‘Ash’ Suzuki at the event.


“Thank you Kamol, and to your wonderful team also, for your support and dedication, and to the wonderful GSR Project team as well as my BSI team for demonstrating that same dedication to transform the way Amway Thailand will do business,” he said.


In January, the Global Shop Replenishment (GSR) Corporate team and Business Systems Implementation (BSI) team came together to organize the GSR Thailand kick-off meeting, which was aimed at preparing the Planning team for the JDA implementation by providing project related information for the first time.


The go-live on 26 June was officiated by Ash, Kittawat (Ritteerawee, MD), and Kamol, who presented tokens of appreciation to the Planning Team for their commitment throughout the project. Kamol also presented training completion certificates to Planners who had completed the GSR JDA Demand & Fulfillment Training.


Kittawat Ritteerawee, Amway Thailand Managing Director, applauded his team’s commitment in making this a success.


“Your hard work is truly appreciated, and we will still need your continuous commitment even after go-live. It’s inspiring to see everyone coming together as one to improve the backend shop replenishment processes for better ABO and Member experiences. Many thanks to the Global GSR, APAC IT and BSI teams for the continued support” said Kittawat during his speech at the go-live ceremony.


Kamol Kieawsrikul, Amway Thailand Supply Chain Director, also thanked the team and highlighted the anticipated benefits of using the GSR JDA tool as the common platform for shop replenishment and demand forecasting.

Now, we can further enhance our forecasting accuracy and ensure timely inventory replenishment in our shops in order to make our shopping experience better…… GOOD-BYE to TNA!!”                           


Every one in the Thailand market team have been extremely busy with day-to-day operations, but through it all, their tremendous efforts and steep learning curves have made this successful go-live a reality. The Thai market’s ownership of the JDA system is important to provide greater experience throughout the 83 shops nationwide.


Thailand is the second market in Asia Pacific to go live with the Global Shop Replenishment Planning tool from JDA. Malaysia and Brunei were the first markets to go live, last September 2016. JDA Thailand is currently going through a Hypercare phase, with the project team on site to provide support on any issues faced. The Hypercare period will run for 3 weeks from 26 June to 14 July 2017. After the end of Hypercare, all issues will be escalated via the existing global support structure.
